Originally licensed in 2008 with my foundation licence with the call M3UYG, then I went on to sit my intermediate licence in 2009 and got the call 2E0GOL, finally sat my exam for the full licence in December 2012 gaining the call M0NKR.
Main interests in radio is HF dx-ing, be it either SSB or Data at home or in the car, I am a keen contester, having taken part in various contests within the club and outside, some contests I’ve taken part in are 80m Club contest, CQ WW SSB 2011, RSGB field days and CQ WPX SSB 2013.
Currently in the process of learning CW, thanks to roger G3LDI
I currently work as a Communications technician for the USAF, so I’m lucky my hobby is my job.
Other interests include, various aspects of shooting, off roading in land rovers and motorcycles
